'People are fearful' - the reasons 'unstoppable force' Arsenal are the squad everyone fears.

The evidence is undeniable why Arsenal stand as numerous fans' top picks to win the Premier League this season.

Look at their outcomes against Newcastle and Crystal Palace in contrast with those same matches in the previous campaign.

The Gunners have beaten all of them this time around, but surrendered 10 points across those games as they faded in the title race previously.

Defensive Dominance

Arsenal's defensive strength is a key reason why they are seeming ready to finally fulfil their title goal.

They rank top for clean sheets (6), shots let in (3), shots faced (72), shots on target faced (19) and anticipated concessions (5.3).

The defensive partnership of Gabriel and William Saliba is possibly the best in the league, with Arsenal recording a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Dead-Ball Superiority

Their threat from set-pieces is well known, but rival sides still struggle to stop the Gunners from these situations.

They have registered 11 times from set-pieces in the league, a couple extra than any other side, with 69% of their goals coming from these situations.

"Arsenal can do a bit of everything now. The whole team has a intimidation presence. People are just wary of them and it is wonderful to see."

Title Claims

What is especially notable about Arsenal's beginning to the campaign is they have also faced Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United at opposition grounds and Manchester City on home turf - and are still four points clear at the top.

While they keep winning, their traditional rivals aren't faring so well. This marks the first time at this juncture of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The scrutiny was on head coach Mikel Arteta at the beginning, having invested around £250m on eight summer acquisitions in pursuit of that coveted first title since 2004.

But the investment has so far paid off in remarkable manner, with his side second top scorers in the league and having the strongest defense, despite multiple injuries.

  • Shutouts in three consecutive Premier League games
  • Over six hours without conceding a goal
  • Only three goals in 12 games across various contests

Former players and experts have labeled Arteta's men as a "unstoppable force, looking hard to stop" with the whole club now performing with belief and purpose.
